I was kinda hopeing for something a little simpler, but im probs asking for too much, However i have just stumbled across a patcher.exe being created at which seems to take control and patch these files, therefor making the whole thing very simple for noobs, just what i was hopeing for. I think your regedit is a great discovery, i will be using that myself, credit to you for shareing it. as you can see with Brandon Live's comment, theres alot of scare mongery.
Thankyou very much for that info Herby, sure i know theres nothing wrong with a regedit, but im just looking for a method for people who are affraid of things like that, so that they can apply the uxtheme patch which has been tested by 1000's of users. (I'm the creator of the reg files -> Vista - Tips, Tricks & Tweaks) ) There's nothing wrong with a regedit as long as you know what it does and you know what you're doing. The write protection of the files is a good thing, it helps to protect your computer against viruses and exploits.
